SSKIC Cohort 5 – Innovator’s Den: Igniting the Next Wave of Change Makers

The Shahjehan S. Karim Incubation Center (SSKIC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) announces the launch of its flagship incubation program, Cohort 5 – Innovator’s Den, a transformative platform designed to empower visionary entrepreneurs with the mentorship, tools, and resources needed to convert innovative ideas into scalable, high-impact ventures.

Through seed funding, industry-led mentorship, and investor readiness training, the program enables startups to address real-world challenges through creativity, resilience, and innovation. SSKIC cultivates a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem where founders gain access to C-level networking opportunities, global visibility, and the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-Net)—providing international exposure and collaboration avenues.

Participants also benefit from a state-of-the-art co-working space, personalized startup support, and access to technology-driven solutions. With a steadfast commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence, SSKIC continues to inspire and equip the next generation of entrepreneurs to lead Pakistan’s transition toward an inclusive, knowledge-based, and globally competitive economy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Members should be Pakistani nationals
  • Age between 18 to 30
  • Enrolled or a graduate of HEC recognized university/SBTE vocational institute
  • Any student from any discipline can apply
  • Students of final year degree/vocational program or recent graduates
  • Start-ups should have a team of at least two to a maximum of four members
  • Start-ups that have not secured any funding are encouraged to apply 

How To Apply

To submit your start-up idea, fill in the online application form that will be available on the SSKIC website and social media pages. There will be a closing date on the website / social media and only the shortlisted participants will receive a call.

FAQs

Yes, you can apply if you are residing in Pakistan and are registered with the HEC recognized university.

Two and above (maximum four).

The funds will be disbursed in installments. The schedule of disbursement will be aligned to the milestones achieved and will be developed at the start of the project.

No. ONLY one proposal can be submitted by one team.

If you are receiving Grant after winning the challenge, it is mandatory that you attend our Incubation Center for the duration of the grant. That said, each situation will be assessed, on a case by case basis, and an applicant may be declared ineligible depending upon the individual’s circumstances.

We discourage any re-submissions. However, we may consider it under special circumstances. In that case, please send your requests at sskic@iobm.edu.pk

Yes, if they are from the universities recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

Project timeline and schedule will be shared after the final selection and at the start of the project.

We want to ensure that only serious applicants, ready to take the challenge of the rigorous journey of innovation with IoBM, commit to the grant. A token of Rs. 1000 demonstrates this commitment.
